Small Bar's intimate, French-vintage inspired interior is all about atmosphere. Dark timber, candlelight, floral details and a vine-covered courtyard create a quiet sense of European charm.

The brief called for a curated cocktail and spirits menu design that felt at home in that environment, while working within an existing leather menu cover and its blue internal graphics. Rather than fighting the existing materials, the design works with them.

A refined serif typeface brings a subtle French-vintage character to the menu design while maintaining the clarity needed in low light. Deep navy type acknowledges the blue leather cover, while restrained burnt-orange illustration brings warmth against the bar's mauve and taupe palette. Hand-drawn illustration echoes the existing graphics inside the menu, creating a sense of continuity without overcrowding the pages.

For Small Bar's audience, the menu is part of the evening rather than simply a way to list what's available. Every detail was considered to feel considered and approachable, with clear hierarchy making the cocktail menu easy to navigate while the typography and illustration work together to add to the atmosphere.
